Clean and disinfect hands before use. Take a respirator out of the package. Avoid contact with the internal side. With the metal strip facing upwards, attach the respirator to your nose and make sure it covers your chin. Attach the upper elastic headband around the back of your head, and the lower around the back of your neck. Use cord locks to adjust tension. Use the index finger of both hands to pinch the metal strip to fit your nose. Make sure the respirator fits your face-shape by performing a seal check (see details below). Do not touch the respirator when in use. Touch only the elastic headbands when removing it. Discard respirator into a waste container with a lid, or according to medical waste regulations in a medical environment. Clean and disinfect hands after use.

SEAL CHECK: Ensures that the respirator is being worn correctly. A positive-pressure check means covering the respirator’s surface with your hands and trying to breathe out sharply. If slight pressure builds up, that means air is not leaking around the edges of the respirator. A negative-pressure check use same method, but instead user should breath in sharply. The check is successful when the respirator collapses slightly under the negative pressure that is created with this procedure. NOTE: If the seal check fails, correct the metal strip, the position of the mask or the elastic headbands. If you fail to pass the seal check you should not use the respirator.

USE FOR: Protection against particles such as those from grinding, sanding, sweeping, sawing, bagging, or processing minerals, coal, iron ore, flour, metal, wood, pollen, and certain other substances. Protects against liquid or oil based particles from sprays. Use in medical or non-med - ical environments. Follow all applicable local regulations.

DO NOT USE FOR: Gases and vapors, asbestos, or sandblasting; particulate concentrations that exceed either 10 times the occupational exposure limit or applicable government regulations, whichever is lower. If respirator becomes damaged, soiled or breathing becomes difficult, leave the contaminated area immediately and replace the respirator. Use no more than 4 hours.
