Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS

Clean and disinfect hands before use. Avoid contact with the internal side. Unfold the respirator and hold it in your hand, with the nosepiece at your fingertips, allowing the head bands to hang freely. Position and hold the respirator so that it covers your nose and chin. Pull the head bands over your head and attach the upper elastic headband around the back of your head and the lower around the back of your neck. Use cord locks to adjust tension. Use the index finger of both hands to pinch the metal clip to fit your nose. Make sure the respirator fits your face-shape by performing a seal check. Do not touch the respirator when in use. Touch only the elastic headbands when removing it. Discard respirator into a waste container with a lid, or according to medical waste regulations in a medical environment. Clean and disinfect hands after use.

SEAL CHECK

Once the particulate respirator is properly donned, place your hands over the mask, covering as much surface area as possible. Exhale gently into the mask. The fit is considered satisfactory if a slight positive pressure is being built up inside the mask without any evidence of outward leakage of air at the seal. To conduct a negative pressure user seal check, cover the mask surface with your hands as much as possible and then inhale sharply. The facepiece should collapse slightly and you should not feel air passing between your face and the mask. If the seal check fails, correct the nose clip, the position of the mask or the elastic headbands. If you still fail to pass the seal check you should not use the respirator.

CAUTION

Read the label, production date and validity period. Do not use if the package or product is damaged. Do not alter, wash, abuse or misuse the respirator. Always perform a seal check before use. Do not use with beards, facial hair or other conditions that prevent a good seal. Not designed to be used by children. Individuals with a compromised respiratory system should consult a physician before use. The respirator can help reduce inhalation exposures to certain airborne biological particles, but cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness or disease. Do not use for asbestos or sandblasting. The  respirator does not supply additional oxygen and does not protect against gases or vapors. Use the mask in areas that contain enough oxygen, do not use in environments containing less than 19,5% oxygen. If respirator becomes damaged, soiled or breathing becomes difficult, leave the contaminated area immediately and replace the respirator. Do not use the same respirator for more than 4 hours. Follow all applicable local regulations. Should not be reused.
